Congratulations to all the winners of this year's Driscoll Middle School Spelling Bee! We also extend our sincere appreciation to all of our student participants for their hard work and impressive performances. A special thank-you goes to our distinguished guests: our esteemed pronouncer, Amy Montez Frye with the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History and the Voice of the Hooks, as well as our spelling bee judges and valued community members-Michelle Balis with Corpus Christi Public Libraries; Kim Sanchez, former CCISD librarian and Driscoll Ranger; and Simon Rios of New York Life and also a former Driscoll Ranger Teacher. Finally, thank you to our amazing librarian, Ms. Jennifer Barrientes for organizing this event!

Athletics Update 🚨 All after-school practices are canceled today. Tuesday (1/27): • 7th grade boys B team basketball and both 8th grade boys basketball teams will practice during the athletic period only. • All girls basketball will be athletic period only. • Tennis after school is canceled. • The only after-school practices will be 7th grade boys basketball A team and golf. • Both will be indoors and will end at 5:15 PM.

Attached you will find the athletic schedule for this week. All outdoor practices are canceled for tomorrow, and all afternoon practices will conclude by 5:15 PM. Please note that Tuesday’s schedule may change pending further information and direction from the district. Stay safe and warm!
